Everyone has their off days and this is mine. Before you decide whether or not you are feeling sympathetic, this is a good thing. The girls are also off all week, making the most of the Autumn half-term.
The days have become cold and dark since the clocks changed last weekend. Autumn isn’t just in full swing, it is positively beckoning Winter to join it.
I thought my day off from work this week was going to be ruined from the start, waking as I did to shakes, chills and intense stomach pains. Not the start that I had anticipated. Thankfully a moment to sit, a cup of tea made for me and the sickness passed.
Today we take it relatively easy, 17 has offered to make tonight’s dinner, 14 seems in good humour. I get the joy of giving the house a mid-week once over to make it look reasonably habitable again.
A shot from last Sunday evening, 14 exhausted from the change in time, unable to keep her eyes open at what felt like an hour later than her usual bedtime but glad to cuddle up to me, next to her sister on the couch. I love these times we can be together, easy and relaxed.
I hope your Wednesday gives you the chance to just be, that the storm left you unhurt and undamaged if you are on the path Sandy took and that you have fun tonight for Hallowe’en.

Sherry - I had an “off” day yesterday…and just took it in my stride. Today has been a better one…no idea what tomorrow will be. That’s the beauty of life — we never know what we’re going to “get” from one day to the next. I’m glad that your feeling of sickness passed! xo
