Relishing respite.

Waterfall, Cardiff Bay

Tonight is respite night again. I will admit I really love when respite falls on a Friday during term time. 14 bundles merrily off to school in the morning, excited and pleased to be taking her overnight things. I used to fear she would be unsettled in school during the day, a little too anticipatory towards the evening’s events. Thankfully this is not the case. It just makes her happy to know she is having a night out, who can blame her? She loves going, spending time with the people there, doing all the fun things they have planned and generally being the centre of attention and she loves coming home again the next day. 14′s joy means we can look forward to the day in the same manner.

This evening we are heading back to a the Bay for a meal. We seem to specialise in going in the cold. There’s nothing quite like a brisk wind to blow away the cobwebs. That’s what I tell myself when the goose-pimples being to look more like Snowdonia.

Pierhead Building Clock

It has been a while since I had a chance to try any nighttime photography. I figure if I write it here the family have had fair warning, whether they have had a chance to read it or not.

I hope your day and weekend bring you the chance to relax and do something you enjoy.

janet isserlis - have a lovely evening! bundle up.. xo

Sherry - Sometimes the goosebumps are worth it — a bracing wind, crisp air to clear the cobwebs is refreshing and so needed from time to time. I’m glad you and 14 have had some “me” time…everyone needs to have “me” time. It’s that breath of fresh air! xo
