The house has a little more space today, 20 has left to begin year two of university. It is far from empty, there are still five of us here. For many people that would be over subscribed. Next week my oldest boy moves out to begin his third go-round with university. Three years down the line and with the wind behind him he will get some of those lovely highly coloured robes and the softer cap, or he will do a one man re-enactment of the 70s group, The Three Degrees. I wouldn’t put it past him.
Drained as we all are from trips down the motorway with a son and all his worldly goods and the emotion of goodbye for now hugs there won’t be many words in tonight’s post. There will, however, be Space.
Kat Sloma is exploring Space on her website this month.
Do have a look at Kat’s website and view her and the other participants photographs, I am sure you will love them.
I hope your week has brought you some good times and your weekend allows you to take some time to breathe and to relax.

Sherry - I love that second last photograph!
And yes, one less around the house…even if 5 still there…the one who is not is missed. There is a little gap. A mother knows who is missing and where that empty spot is.
As for the other one getting ready to leave again…you made me laugh about the 3 Degrees!! I liked them!! “When will I see you again…”
Enjoy your weekend Lynn! xo
Penbleth - Thank you Sherry. That photo really appeals to me as well, something about the light and the silhouettes. To be clear, there are five of us in all, two of us are he and me. xo
Andrea - I have one that just moved out for good, I think. He has a year lease and another senior in High School. Very nice photos, thanks for visiting!
Leanne - Love your B&W shots, particularly the sky in the first.
Penbleth - Thank you Andrea, it is quite a jolt when they begin leaving home.
Thank you for visiting me.
Penbleth - Thank you Leanne, it was a beautiful day, I was glad to be able to capture some of it.
Kat Sloma - Such wonderful, peaceful examples! I hope finding this open images brought you moments to breathe and to relax, after your busy week to get your son off to university. Lovely images! Thank you for sharing in Exploring with a Camera.
Penbleth - Thank you Kat and as always it is a pleasure to take part in your monthly explorations.
gina - I love the sky space in your b&ws, just lovely! Sounds like you’re going through some big transitions — hope you find peaceful space to help you cope.
Shannon - So hard to say goodbye’s to children, but so healthy for them and for you. Wishing you well and lots of (free-er) space.
Arpana Pillay - In our busy and cluttered lives sometimes looking up is the best way to allow space in! Your use of the sky reminds us that if you look there is always space to breathe! Hope your son has a good year at uni.
