The one where plans and “aft gang aglay” come to mind.

So I have started a course. I have made a lot of progress. I have an essay to write. I have notes, I have research, I have the “when IS that deadline, could I procrastinate longer?” I have the, “no, I AM going to write this up today and then it will have time to marinate and self-improve before the deadline.”

I have 13 home from school.

She has the  cold we have all had, forever, or since the start of September, same difference I suppose. She is cutting her wisdom teeth, perhaps the cause of the restless nights we have had lately. She looks like she has done ten rounds with the world heavyweight champion.

We had this all through the summer, waking with swollen eyes, she has had drops, ointments and saline eye washes. As the day progresses her eyes open more, the swelling decreases but in the mornings things don’t always look good. This morning is obviously one of those mornings. It’s not contagious but only being able to open your eyes a sliver isn’t a great look, so home she is today.

The joy of the long distance learner, balancing writing with child care. I can do it, just not on a computer. Oddly I seem to need to grab pen and paper and get the first thoughts down on that before I can consider writing it up digitally. I thought perhaps I would have got over that with all the time I spend attached to a keyboard and monitor but apparently not.

Old school, I can deal with that.

you can deal with that and more. hoping she’s feeling better, and that you’re getting some space to think?

Thank you, she is feeling fine, just has swollen eyelids, from teething of all things. Cutting her wisdom teeth is the cause.

I am not sure there is enough space to think when she is home, I will have to stay thoughtless today.

Pen and paper is good – there’s probably more old school people around than you realise! Good luck with getting it written and I hope 13 feels back to normal soon.
