Respite night comes around twice a month. Very often it is a chance to get out of the house and enjoy an evening at the cinema or sharing a meal in a restaurant. Some nights, however, you just want to sit back, relax and enjoy some time in your own home. Now that the Summer has gone and the evenings are cold and dark and much, much worse are battered by torrents of rain, we decided that last night should be a stay-at-home night.

Our oldest son and his girlfriend joined us. We talked we laughed, we watched a Disney movie because the girls love it and ate take-out. It was good, easy-going fun.
At the beginning of this month I decided to begin a 365 photography project. This is the third I have begun and not no further than a couple of weeks. For someone who always has some sort of camera with me, even if it is just a camera phone this is deplorable. My usual feeling is I just don’t see sufficient new things to make such a project interesting plus I am really bad at uploading my photographs, they could sit on the memory card for a week or more before I decide to do anything with them. This year I have decided to be more relaxed. My promise to myself was to take a photograph every day but not to get worked up about always using the DSLR, nor to be too concerned about when I connect the images to the Flickr set. So far this has worked. Some have been taken with the Canon, some with the Polaroid and a couple with the iPhone. Lets face it, this mix pretty much represents my photography.

That was it.
Today I think I will return to the Polaroid and a little Softtone for an October afternoon.
I hope your Saturday is bringing you a chance to relax.

Becs - Love the mix! For me, my 365 was all about capturing my everyday, how I felt etc and part of that is reflected in camera choice (tho I don’t any film cameras). Good luck with rest of your 365!
Sherry - take out and a movie = an evening well spent!
