22, 17 and I made our way to Bristol this afternoon. I am far too tired to think about writing tonight so I am only too glad that it is still August and therefore part of The August Break 2012.

Cardiff Central, I must admit I love the train.

Here’s an honest admission, no names to the buildings in Bristol because I haven’t the faintest clues what they are called. I took three cameras with me, the DSLR, an SLR and one of my Polaroids. I took the latter because I thought we were going to Bath. Having schlepped it round with me I didn’t use it.

The floating harbour on the River Avon.

Bristol Temple Meads station. I must admit it is an impressive building.

Leaving the Saxons.

Croeso i Gymru, welcome to Wales. Trip over. Sort of, we had a slight double back on ourselves as we changed trains to get home, complete with the early evening sozzled crowd and the spiv who wanted the entire carriage to know what a brilliant businessman he was as he shouted down his ‘phone. Kudos mate, an entire carriage loathed you.

Tomorrow, when I’m not so exhausted from walking on circles today, I’ll have a look at the digital photos, perhaps one or two will be fit for sharing. I’ll let you know. I hope you had a good Saturday.

Kimberley McGill - I adore trains too. This past Christmas my sweetie and I took the train from Los Angeles to New Orleans. We loved our little “cabin”, the food was good, the sights breathtaking and we met someone new at each meal. Loved every minute of the trip there and the trip back.
Wonderful images!
Penbleth - That sounds like a wonderful trip. Thank you.
