The one thing that can be guaranteed in an otherwise uncertain World is, when you could make use of something you won’t have it with you. This morning as I looked out upon a downpour that would have had Noah reassessing the quantity of hickory wood he had requisitioned I decided to leave the huge camera bag and all the cameras at home and head to work armed only with my keys and the iPhone. Naturally this meant that the rain eased and some scenes caught my eye.
What else could I do but snap them? It would be wrong to do otherwise.

I am not sure if the Boy Scouts would allow that I was prepared by having the iPhone or hold me to stricter standards and deny my preparedness with the absence of a camera but either way the day was captured. To add to this by some miracle I not only got to work but home again from it safely unaffected by rain.

Shannon - Firat of all I laughed out loud at this: “… a downpour that would have had Noah reassessing the quantity of hickory wood he had requisitioned”
And then I got lost in your photos and found myself wanting a day like this, greenery like this…and RAIN. Oh, the sweet smell and sound of rain…Please. It’s 90+ here.
Catherine - I never have a camera on me when I want it.I always see the most perfect image or opportunity when it is impossible to capture it….. must be one of the unwritten rules of nature.
Gerri Smalley - It pays off to keep a camera with us, doesn’t it? Glad it stayed dry.
Emily - Cheers for having your iPhone camera with you! Beautiful, tranquil images. Nothing better than capturing photos in that particular quality only brought out on rainy days. Lovely post, even the Boy Scouts would agree
