There is a moment, it doesn’t last long, when the house is empty, kids gone to school and the day stretches out in front of me. I take that moment, breathe it in, enjoy it, relish it. The day will rush on with its needs and demands and before I know it the girls will return, the needs will be more immediate.
For now I will sit, read a while, drink some tea, relax.
All that has to be done, all that demands my time will get its turn.
Now is for me.
Sit.
Relax.
Be at peace.
